We are not supposed to tuck our faith away or hide it under a lamp stand. We are called by the apostle Paul to contend for our faith. We are not battling against flesh and blood, but with principalities, and powers that war against the church and our Savior. In order to stand in the truth, we must be equipped.
Be sober-minded; be watchful. Your adversary the devil prowls around like a roaring lion, seeking someone to devour. Resist him, firm in your faith, knowing that the same kinds of suffering are being experienced by your brotherhood throughout the world. – 1st Peter 5:8-9
