Love for Others

And he said to him, “You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind. This is the great and first commandment. And a second is like it: You shall love your neighbor as yourself. On these two commandments depend all the Law and the Prophets.” – Matthew 22:37-40 (ESV)

If the life of Jesus is present in our own lives, it will be shown in this, our love for others.

Jesus was not a heretic because he ate with sinners and showed them mercy. Loving others happens in a relationship. Jesus modeled this by showing us how to love our neighbor – whoever that might be.

A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another: just as I have loved you, you also are to love one another. – John 13:34 (ESV)
