Love is hard work.

Anyone who does not love does not know God, because God is love. – 1 John 4:8 (ESV)

If we do not love one another how can we say we have received God’s love and been born again? Love is the proof we are to look for to identify fellow believers. God puts his love into our lives so that it may flow out of us to others. The most significant expression of love that there has ever been is the cross of Calvary. This is how God showed his love for the world.

For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life. – John 3:16 (ESV)
