Pursuit of Truth

The cry of the world is about reform. As we have heard over the last sermons, God never called his church to be part of economic, political, or social reforms. God never once called Christians to create change in governments or financial institutions. He did, however, call his church to reform in the book of Revelation; reform that causes transformation of heart, mind, and soul. As we begin in the book of Revelation, the trouble we find is that the church had deviated from the truth. Remember, Jesus was clear that His Kingdom was not of this world. Ours is not either. We are aliens in this world.

The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge; fools despise wisdom and instruction. – Proverbs 1:7

Then you will call upon me and come and pray to me, and I will hear you. You will seek me and find me, when you seek me with all your heart. – Jeremiah 29:12-13

I am the way, the truth and the life. – John 14:6

We must seek Christ for truth. He is the Living Word. When we seek diligently, we will find Him!
